• Be less than 8 years old from the year of first registration
• Be subject to roadworthiness inspection by a KEBS appointed inspection agent in the country of export
• Be a Right-Hand driver

Yes, Stanbic Bank offers asset finance to both account holders, and non-account holders.

If you Own a Company or you are a business Person then the following is what is required:

The supplier will reserve the vehicle for a period of 24 hours only. Thereafter the car will become available to other clients.

Banks will only finance certain dealerships or type of cars. If a dealership or car does not pass a certain standard or criteria, it will not be put on the SAExports website.

• PAYMENT DELAY: If Payment has not been received in time then a car can be lost to another buyer. You would have to find another car that suites you.

• REPAIR DELAY:  If an issues if found with the car during the pre-shipment inspection then there could be delays while repairs are done by the dealership.

• SHIPPING DELAY: If your car in being shipped and the loading or offloading of the ship is delayed or the sailing is cancelled. However, proof of this will be sent if it is a shipping line delay.

• CAR CARRIER DELAY: If your car is being transported by car carrier, then delivery is dependent on a full load. Even though it is generally not a problem, however there are times when there are either too many cars that need to be transported or not enough.

SAExports is protected by the Consumer Protection Act within South Africa. This means if a car fails the pre-shipment inspection, the car will need to be repaired by the dealership before it can be delivered.

Please remember that this is for minor issues and not major mechanical issues or body damage. This is a standard International practice.

The following is an industry standard:
• Insurance is provided on car carrier deliveries. If the car carrier is involved in any accident, then the insurance company will determine if a vehicle needs to be repaired or written off. See T&C policies.

Some of the Japanese cars do suffer from this issue however NEVER a South African car since they are all tested in South Africa, and we have an extensive history of the car.

It’s typically cheaper to insure an older car. Older cars are less valuable. They don’t have the same safety features as newer cars. However, insurance prices can vary widely between new and old vehicles.
